Students

Targeted Outreach

What is on offer?

In-school/college workshops

A series of one-hour workshops delivered in-school/college to students providing impartial higher education information, advice and guidance. This opportunity is for Year 13 or college-equivalent students. We’re happy to direct queries about support for Year 12 students to the appropriate university contact. Topics include:

      • Personal statements
      • UCAS
      • University student finance
      • Progression routes
      • Study skills
      • Is higher education right for me?
      • Budgeting and financial literacy
      • Taking a break from education/ Gap year planning.

Mentoring

A new and significant addition to our outreach programme is the option of one-to-one or small group mentoring. This personalised mentoring will help students explore their options and develop actionable plans for their future pathway(s).  The bespoke mentoring will be delivered in consultation with the school/college and local Access and Outreach Officer to ensure the frequency of mentoring meets the needs of the learners’ academic commitments.
